Tristan Tutors focuses on improving test scores through instilling confidence, creating an environment for students to fully engage and translating problems & solutions that lead to results. We have three packages that continue to help students see the results they desire. With each package, students we can meet with students in person or via Skype.

A high-school sophomore applying for sports scholarships (SAT)

Before tutoring:

PSAT scores: 570 (verbal), 680 (math), 1250/1520 (total), (1310/1600 estimated SAT score)

After tutoring:

SAT scores: 710 (Reading/Writing), 700 (Math), 18 (Essay), 1410 (Total)

After an additional 3 lessons:

SAT scores: 750 (Reading/Writing), 760 (Math), 1510 (Total)

Student accepted at Columbia University with a sports scholarship.

Full Test Preparation

1-on-1 Online

10 x 90 minute sessions with the first 4 lessons consisting of teaching through concepts and strategies with the remaining 6 session consisting of students working through full practice test from the official SAT, ACT, and GRE practice test guides.

Group Test Preparation
group

Group test preparation structure mirrors the full test preparation. Allowing students the flexibility to go through the 10 sessions in a group environment. The benefit to a group session is that the costs is split between two or three students

A La carte lessons

Consists of fewer than 10 x 90 minute lessons. Perfect for students who want more targeted prep approach. Meaning that they want to target one section of the test to help them overcome a mental hurdle as they prepare on their own.
